Niklas Willén with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw

Niklas Willén will make his third guest appearance with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw on 6 and 7 March.

The programme includes the overture "Prince Igor" by Borodin, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 and the 5th Symphony by Carl Nielsen. Soloist is Eric Lu.

Raphael Wallfisch at the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival

Again Raphael Wallfisch will appear at the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival in Los Angeles from 10 to 16 March. Among others, he will perform the Concertino of Mieczysław Weinberg echoing the composers's 100th birthday last year.

Selina Ott at the Festival Emergents in Barcelona

On 15 March Selina Ott (1st prize ARD Competition Munich 2018) will appear at the Emergents Festival at the Barcelona Auditorium. With the Banda Municipal de Barcelona under the direction of José R. Pascual-Vilaplana she will perform Gershwin's "Rhapsody in blue" in a version for trumpet and wind orchestra.

Diego Martin-Etxebarria at the Krefeld Mönchengladbach Theatre

On 15 March Diego Martin-Etxebarria will conduct the premiere of "Rusalka" in Krefeld in a new production by Ansgar Weigner. Further performances will be on 20 and 27 March.

Eckehard Stier with the Orchestra of the Swan

Eckehard Stier returns to the Orchestra of the Swan for concerts on 24 and 26 March, and on 3 April (concerts in Stratford, Hereford and London).

The programme includes Beethoven's overture "The Creatures of Prometheus", the "Umpteenth Violin Concerto" by Django Bates and Beethoven's Violin Concerto with a cadenza by Django Bates. The soloist is Thomas Gould.

Fabrice Bollon in Freiburg

Fabrice Bollon will conduct another performance of "Kosmos Korngold" at the Theater Freiburg on 27 March.

The production spans the music of Erich Wolfgang Korngold from his first short opera to his last orchestral piece through the interplay of concert and opera performance.

Andrea Barizza with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt

On 29 March Andrea Barizza makes his debut with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (Oder) in a program with Michael Haydn's Sinfonia in D major (complete version, not only the 5th movement as announced), Joseph Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major and Mozart's Symphony No. 38, the so-called "Prague". The soloist is Maximilian Hornung.
